Boyne City is located at the mouth of the Boyne River on Lake Charlevoix in Charlevoix County.

First settled in 1856 by the John Dixon and John Miller families, it was incorporated as Boyne village in 1885, was renamed Boyne City in 1904 and then incorporated as a city in 1907.

This city still retains it’s small town, home town flavor with a quiet downtown area of shops and parks.

The city also has a very nice marina on Lake Charlevoix which offers access to Lake Michigan and ports beyond.
