Argyle, Michigan - 48410

Argyle, Michigan

The first settlers of Argyle were mostly Scots from Ontario (McLachlin, McLean, McIntyre, etc.), and that accounts for the Scottish name given Argyle Township when it was orgainzed in 1872 with Alexander McLachlin as its first supervisor. The village is under township government.
Argyle is located approximately 15 miles north and west of Sandusky. It is a quiet area, supportive of family life.
